Oliver’s Real Food Racing have welcomed two mid-season signings just in time for the recommencement of the 2016 Subaru National Road Series.
Victorian duo Zane Hunter & Nicholas White join Oliver’s from the defunct Physiohealth-Focus team. Bolstering the Oliver’s roster for the remainder of the season.
Hunter brings to the team experience of the Australian domestic circuit. Having spent the previous two seasons with Team Seight. The 21 year old finished 12th at the Australian National Championships earlier this year.
At 18 years of age Nicholas White is one of the most promising future prospects for Victorian cycling. He also joins Oliver’s as the youngest member of the team. White has just returned from a 2 month stint of racing in the USA with older brother Liam, who rides from Pat’s Veg Cycling.
“It is great to be able to offer these two an opportunity to continue their development with Oliver’s. We particularly have to also thank Focus Bikes Australia for their continued support of their athletes, and for helping with getting these two aboard.” Oliver’s Racing manager Sam Layzell said.
Hunter will join his new teammates today in Mount Gambier ahead of the 5 day Tour of Great South Coast, which starts on Wednesday. While White will make his NRS debut one week later at the Tour of King Valley.
